Wes Anderson is great. Really is.
What does irritate me is calling the following a “Film”. The title of the youtube video says so right away.
It is shot like a film, sounds like a film. It has a big star. But I think a line has to be drawn somehow, or why don’t we just call everything a film that isn’t 100% retail offers. Film Film Film, it’s all film!! I’m getting triggered.
Yes, it’s nice, yes it is visually engaging. You’d know it was Wes Anderson the first 15 seconds. I got all warm and fuzzy after viewing. Cameras move around in typical Anderson fashion.
It’s produced perfectly. But, calling it a film I can’t get on board with. The plot is “Come Together and Buy H&M. Also, Adrien Brody!” (whom I love)
It’s still an Advertisement. Not Film!
