Movie Preview Premiere – The Fate of the Furious – Movie Preview & Technical Details
I love unapologetic cheesy movies, and I love cars.
Movie preview just dropped for the EIGHTH installment of the Fast & Furious series. (YES EIGHT!)
Titled, “The Fate of the Furious”, a title I like for it’s straight up cheese factor, is currently set for release on April 14, 2017. I would have loved it even more if it was officially “The F8 of the Furious” But the series is known for it’s popcorn flick, cheesin’ it up action and plot so it fits the tone.
F. Gary Gray directs (Straight Outta Compton, The Italian Job, Friday). Cinematographer on the project is longtime series cinematographer Stephen F. Windon (Star Trek Beyond). The film was shot in Iceland, with other filming locations including Cuba, Atlanta, Cleveland and New York. Edited by Christian Wagner who is also working on Kong: Skull Island.
The film was shot on Alexa XT Plus, Blackmagic Micro Cinema Camera, Red Weapon Dragon, and Sony CineAlta PMW-F55. Images photographed through Zeiss, Fujinon, and Angenieux glass at a ratio of 2.35:1 and distributed digitally.
Double Negative is the VFX house providing the shots for the film.
