It’s Friday, I’m tired, so here is a low-effort post for ya. Everyone’s already seen the winners list of the VES Award. Congrats to all who’ve been a part of some great work this past year. I took a second to pick out my favorite 3 works from the list, and an accompanying breakdown/BTS video. So without further adeiu, here are some inspiring breakdowns to watch and an advertisement jammed in there.
Happy Friday All, and If You’re Working This Weekend, Drink on the Clock.
1 – The Jungle Book – Outstanding Visual Effects in a Photoreal Feature, +5 Others
2 – Kubo And The Two Strings – Outstanding Visual Effects in a Photoreal Feature
Work by Laika. Another on my list of best animated films in 2016, this film had incredible art direction and a story that stuck with you after you left the theater.
3 – Moana – Outstanding Effects Simulations in an Animated Feature (+1 Other)
Work by Walt Disney Animation Studios. Great sim work on this one.
