V-Ray 3.5 Released for 3ds Max, Plus Watch the Release Webinar
Version 3.5 of V-Ray was released a week ago for 3ds Max, which is a free upgrade for v3 customers. Their main tagline is in regards to their Adaptive Lights algorithm which is claimed to Render up to 7x Faster.
Also of interest is the Resumable Render feature, which works for both bucket and progressive rendering. Examples of it’s utility include resuming of a render after a failure or power outage. Things like improved GPU rendering implementation, physically-accurate glossy fresnel reflection model, and live VR rendering. For a complete webinar to see the features demo’d check it out:
