RAID World War II – VFX Breakdown by Bläck Studios
It’s Friday. Bläck Studios posted up a featurette discussing their VFX work on the cinematic trailer for RAID World War II, a game from Lion game Lion and published by Starbreeze Studios.
They discuss how they moved from concept art to finished visuals, referencing neoclassical architecture and bringing together many reference sources.
Interestingly they used Blender and called it “Pretty Damn Great”. (I see a shift to Blender coming for smaller studios now that Autodesk is strong-arming people to subscription). Check it out with the side by sides:
