Joysticks ’n Sliders 1.5 for After Effects – Pose Based Character Rigging Script
Michael Overbook released a 1.5 update to his plugin / script, Joysticks ’n Sliders for After Effects. The new features include a brand new UI, “EaseBias” to control interpolations, ability to move controllers back to child comps with “Move to Child” , and export animations to html5 with “BodyMovin’”
It’s really nice – you set your character poses and assign them to joystick controllers and sliders. Or easier to think of them as how you can assign blend shapes in Maya and interpolate between.
With the joysticks you are allowed 5 poses per controller. Sliders allow for an infinite number of poses and interpolations between them. Promo video w/ rocking’ music:
