Sigma 135mm F1.8 DG HSM Art Lens First Impressions, Pricing, & Release Date
Long time user of Sigma glass in my photography, and I think in past years Sigma has really stepped up their game – the quality/price you get with these are hard to beat. This 135mm 1.8 is advertised as sporting minimal chromatic aberration and good corner to corner sharpness. The sweet spot for sharpness is around f5.6 like most lenses in this bracket. If I had one to test I would love to verify this. Until that opportunity arises PGN has a video with their thoughts on it, lucky as they are to have one early:
This 135mm F1.8 DG HSM Art lens supports Canon, Nikon, and works with Sigma’s MC-11 Sony E-mount converter. The Nikon mounts feature the new EM diaphragm for enhanced high-speed shooting. It will begin shipping in May 2017 for a retail price of $1399.00 USD.
