Watch: How TV Titles Got so Damn Good
Art of the Title collaborated with Wired magazine to create this feautrette, titled How TV Opening Titles Got So Damn Good. I argue that a much more appropriate title could have been “How Streaming Show Titles Got So Damn Good” but it probably doesn’t have as much appeal. It’s funny thinking how many breakdowns and discussions there are currently about title sequences.
It’s a niche I would have loved to be able to get into in a large capacity. I’ve only been lucky enough to create 3 title packages and the ability to distill the essence of a show into more abstract designs and put so many resources into it was a thrill. In my cases part of the thrill was also the insane deadlines we had and trying to meet them.
