NAB 2017 – Teradek Serv WiFi HD & SD Video Streaming Device
Kick the client out of video village. (that would be my slogan anyway)
Teradek Serv is a device that creates a WiFi network signal which will stream inputs to any iOS device.
There is a 4 frame delay so while not intended for focus pullers or remote head operators, it is perfect for directors and those pesky clients that get in the way in video village. Connect them to the stream and tell them to sit down with their iPad & iPhones where they belong.
The Serv comes in two versions and the device has inputs for HDMI and SDI. The Serv Pro supports up to 10 connections vs 4 connections on the standard and sends both SD & HD streams up to 300 feet and can be extended with any WiFi signal router.
An accompanying iOS app VUer provides visualization tools such as a histogram, false color, waveform, vectorscope, and an anamorphic de-squeeze. Also supports LUTs.
The Pro will cost $1600 and standard version $700, while the VUer app is free.
