Importing Cinema 4D Objects Into Adobe Illustrator – Cineware for Illustrator
So did you ever wish you could directly import and use 3D objects from Cinema 4D in Illustrator? No? Neither have I. But it’s actually a cool idea and helps integrate more of the Adobe suite.
In an effort to continue to combine 2D and 3D, Cineware for illustrator allows users to import 3D objects as flat layers but preserving the ability to transform them – position, rotate, and scale – in order to create the perfect art for placement in your design.
Upon placing the asset into your document, the new control panels provide camera controls, render options, and scene elements to adjust what is showing from the scene file. Material placement is also quickly adjusted via a new Attributes panel.
Other uses for the plugin include ability to import models as reference for a manual trace, and packaging mock ups via application of textures to a box or other package modeled in 3D.
The plugin works with Illustrator CC 2015 and up, and windows 10 or macOS 10.12 and can be downloaded right here.
